Training

The need for businesses, the public sector and community groups to tackle environmental issues has never been greater. Increasing environmental legislation and continued public pressure  is forcing all sectors of  the community to address their environmental performance and reduce their  impact on the environment.

Forbury Environmental can assist all types of organisations wanting to make the shift to becoming more sustainable by providing customised training on a range of environmental issues. Recent projects have included running seminars for a construction company on sustainable waste management, a course for WRAP Business Advisers on planning and licensing issues and delivering Waste Management training to the public sector for CIWM Cymru on behalf of the Welsh Assembly Government and the Environment Agency Wales.

Apart from bespoke training we provide the Chartered Institution of Wastes Managements (CIWM)  Waste Awareness Certificate. This certificate is aimed specifically at those employees who deal with waste in all kinds of situations on a daily basis.  It covers some basic facts about the law on wastes and how employees and companies can avoid running foul of the regulators, and importantly how companies and individuals can reduce the amount of wastes they generate, deal more effectively with the wastes that they produce, and save money in the process! We offer this one-day course at a range of venues in the UK throughout the year. We are also able to provide the CIWM Waste Awareness Construction Course. This course covers the basic waste issues of the standard WAC course with additional material has been tailored to the construction/demolition industry.
